10 THINGS | WHICH SETS SSR DIFFERENT FROM AVERAGE CROWD| BENCHMARK DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE IN THE EARLY 30S

I came, I worked, I pushed my boundaries, and lived larger than life.

I never thought I would write this article in the absence of this young dynamite of talent. It’s more than two months still it’s hard to digest that Sushant Singh Rajput is not with us anymore.

It was a Saturday night I loved watching his Sonchiriya with veterans like Manoj Vajpayee and Ranbir Shorey and wondering this new talent is going to be the next big thing in Indian Cinema and the very next day I was shocked and stunned with the news of SSR mysterious demise.

SSR was not just an actor he was a perfect blend of talent, intellect, visionary, ideologist, explorer, and pioneer. I would like to take an opportunity to pen down his contribution to our society which is a standard benchmark that can be achieved in the early ’30s if one has a strong dedication and dare to dream beyond.

1. Hard-Work - There is no shortcut for success

CC: scroll.in

A man coming from the middle-class background of Bihar finds his way to the pinnacle of stardom in Mumbai. Everyone admires the success but the hard work in the background is blurred. The young generation should take a moment to zoom his efforts from scratch.

From television to big screens, from a background dancer to leading cast, from actor to a passionate quantum physics enthusiast, from a miniature of Maserati to owning a Maserati it takes a lot of, a hell lot of blood and sweats no doubt about it.

2. Risk taking Ability

CC: insidesport

1st when SSR was pursuing his engineering from Delhi College of Engineering in 3rd year got a chance to represent as a dancer in commonwealth games on an international platform in Shiamak Davar dance company. He dropped out of his engineering before 1 year of the degree and choose to chase his dreams. 90%
of the population would have managed to stick with completion of degree but he was a rare breed.

2nd after working 4 years on television, he was a popular face but instead of staying at peak and making himself comfortable, he decided to stretch his boundaries on a big screen. He left television and started again from scratch in 2011 and after 5 years in 2016 his critically and commercially acclaimed movie MS Dhoni – The untold story was on board. The perfect planned roadmap to success.

3. A science enthusiast

SSR solving complex physics equation

SSR was the winner of the physics olympiad at the national level. He qualified 11 engineering entrance exams also including the prestigious ISM Dhanbad.

Two years ago when a Cambridge PhD holder interacted with SSR in Paris mistook him as a physicist and was amazed at the knowledge of Quantum Physics. An average person spends his entire life settling in one but the former actor was just unstoppable when it’s come to learning

4. Love for Space and cosmology

CC: TOI

SSR passion for space, universe, and cosmology fetch him with an invitation from ISU (International Space University). The below Instagram post reflects his deep grip on our universe formation and dark energy.

CC: Instagram

SSR was also working on an upcoming astronaut role for universe based project “Chanda mama door ke” and also took training in NASA to pull this role and to justify his fascination for the universe.

He also owns a Meade LX600 telescope which makes him very unique among the celebs, you can drool over his Instagram and see his amazing post capturing the moon and stars. Obsession for the moon driven him to purchase a piece of land on the moon which he used to watch from his telescope.

5. Budding Entrepreneur

Many don’t know that SSR invested himself towards technology and wanted to bring change in a society with his grip in three startups:

  1. Innsaei Ventures Pvt. Ltd. – This was co-founded by SSR in 2018, the word Innsaei is an Icelandic word meaning Intuition. The company focus on Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Incubation, health, and wellness sector.
  2.  Vividrage Rhealityx – This was started in 2019 focusing on the maintenance of websites of other firms/ creation of multimedia presentations for other firms
  3. Front India – this startup was created in 2020 for the sake of humanity to provide service in health, poverty, malnutrition, sanitization, and hunger.

6. The experimental and courageous actor

CC: thenational.ae, The scene from Detective Byomkesh Bakshy

When it’s come to acting he wins heart with both his smile and soul. The best thing about SSR was the level of preparation and background work with minute details of his character was something that makes him the best at doing his homework.

The range of selection of his genre was experimental and courageous. Starting his carrier with sports politics Kai Po Che!(2013), to romance in Shuddh Desi Romance (2013), to thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015), to biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), to tragic love story Kedarnath (2018), to dacoit of Chambal in Sonchiriya (2019), to social awareness Chhichhore (2019), and cancer fighter in Dil Bechara (2020) he was just a chameleon who never hesitated to play safe and pushed himself.

His acting capabilities can only be measured by the fact that he was chosen by international acclaimed director Shekhar Kapur upcoming Project Paani which was kept on hold due to production issues.

7. The Intellectual interaction and magnifying interviews

The best part of listening to this man is that you randomly pick up any of his interviews or public interaction is the logical and valid justification given to each dimension. Actors of his generation fail miserably when it’s come to expressing something logical and out of box thinking.

He talks about his journey, the real meaning of success, science, coding, books, VR, quantum physics, acting, direction, and other skills so passionately which will take ages to fill the gap.

The best part of SSR was that more than a speaker he was a listener and quick learner.

8. The blood and sweat behind MS Dhoni: The untold story

SSR transformation for MS Dhoni: The untold story will leave you speechless

I would like to take an opportunity to mention his hard work behind molding himself into the character of the living legend MS Dhoni. This movie was critically and commercially hit and believe me I couldn’t recognize him on the screen it was his carrier defining performance.

His physical training and inner conflict to grab each and every dimension of Dhoni was very challenging. But hats off to this man who was so graceful in pulling this role so amazing that will be always remembered in the history of Indian cinema.

9. The Dreamer

SSR sudden demise has broken our heart into pieces and it’s very tough to believe that he left us with his bucket list of 50 dreams some achieved, some yet to be.

CC: india.com

10. The man with a golden heart

CC: IndiaTV

SSR will always be remembered for his humanitarian grounded nature which restored faith in humanity and the power of giving.

When a fan tagged him in his Instagram saying that he wants to donate to the Kerala flood but couldn’t donate due to lack of money then SSR on behalf of his fan donated 1cr. He also donated to the Nagaland flood in 2018 which went unnoticed.

The best part SSR was the Bollywood actor which is Hindi driven but places like Kerala and Nagaland are places where Bollywood movies are hardly watched but still, he came forward without any promotion and gave a great lesson of unity and harmony.

Thank you Sushant Singh Rajput for your amazing dedication to the cinema, science, and society. Your journey from mole to mountains will always encourage generations to dream and achieve. You will be missed. SSR for forever.

taj mahal 1989
Source-Netflix , A university’s professor and his friend former gold medalist discussing about life

This year Valentine’s day Netflix India offered the audience with a very refreshing and organic love story set up in the city of Lucknow. The main reason to include this underdog in the list is its brave attempt to bring something different on the table where the web world is typecasted only with similar crime dramas rat race after Sacred games and Mirzapur and those love stories sugarcoated with sex.

Three love-stories are revolving around Lucknow university with very ease and natural pace, a Lucknow University professor of psychology and her wife Sarita daughter of university’s chancellor who is struggling to find the lost chemistry in their relationship, once a university gold medalist who is now a tailor by profession and his relationship with a life partner which is very difficult to digest by the society and a young love buds of the university whose relationship is shaped by involvement in student politics. The first episode starts at the symbol of love The Taj Mahal and finishes at the same place. It’s interesting to see how the stories migrated from Lucknow to Agra.
